The Brewery Quarter is delighted to be hosting several “…around town” events throughout Cheltenham Jazz Festival 2024.  From 1-6 May the town will be alive with a plethora of live music, from bands to soloists, upbeat to down tempo.  Whether you’re completely new to jazz music or a aficionado, there’s something for everyone to experience and enjoy at the hottest May Bank Holiday weekend of the season.  See the superstars of the future on stage in The Brewery Quarter. or visit The Botanist to enjoy more live music across the weekend.

Belle Acoustique
The Botanist

Bringing together vocals, guitar and double bass to cover jazz, soul, blues and funk – from old school to modern day.  Influences include Stevie Wonder, Nancy Wilson and Scary Pockets.

3rd May 8-9pm
The Other Way
The Botanist
Playing ecological soul-jazz music for dancing into the void, with echoes of Wayne Shorter and Robert Glasper, featuring trumpet and bird sound.

4th May 1:15pm – 2pm
George and Mariella
The Brewery Quarter – Cupola Tower
An alternative/indie sound with endless rhythmic and meditative possibilities, harmonising vocals and chilled instrumentals.

4th May 2:30 – 3:30pm
Refuge
The Brewery Quarter – Cupola Tower
Playing a mix of sax-led, ska influenced indie classics.  The band spin a unique take on covers that rotate between sax, vocals and guitar.

5th May 1:30 – 2:15pm
Emma and Rosie
The Brewery Quarter – Cupola Tower
Emma and Rosie are an indie pop duo based in Cheltenham.  The pair came together to form a creative partnership.

Four mates playing the sounds of their youth.  Nu-metal and SKA blended with elements of hip hop and grime.

Beatroot
Look out for a special performance from Beatroot, who will be starting from The Brewery Quarter working their way through the town.  This nine piece instrumental fink band play original songs across funk, jazz, rock and more.
